Zico Bailey was acquired by FC Cincinnati via trade on December 12, 2019 from LA Galaxy. FCC acquired the Homegrown rights to Bailey and signed him to a Homegrown contract, in exchange for a fourth-round 2020 MLS SuperDraft selection.
2021 (FC Cincinnati): Made 11 appearances, including five starts, including starting the final seven matches of the season … Scored his first career MLS goal in the season finale against Atlanta United FC at TQL Stadium in the 21st minute … Made his season debut at NYCFC (April 24) as a sub for the match’s final nine minutes … Made his first start Sept. 15 at Atlanta … His first, full 90 minute performance came at Inter Miami CF on Oct. 23, part of a three game stretch when he went 90, 89, 90 minutes … Totaled 10 interceptions, and career-bests in duel percentage (113.6%), minutes (685) and passes (279).

OUTSIDE MLS: Following his freshman season, Bailey signed for Swedish top-tier side Kalmar FF in April 2019 … Months later, he joined Danish second-division club FC Helsingør, where he played for the remainder of the 2019 season.
