TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
Toronto FC have signed Canada youth international forward Deandre Kerr as a homegrown player through 2024 with options for 2025 and 2026, the club announced Friday.
Kerr, 19, joins after playing two collegiate seasons at Syracuse University.
"Deandre is another talented Toronto FC academy player that comes off an excellent season at Syracuse University,” head coach and sporting director Bob Bradley said in a release. “We are excited to bring him back to the club with the first team.”
During his sophomore year at Syracuse, Kerr posted a team-high nine goals and three assists in 13 appearances upon earning All-ACC First Team honors. In 2020, he placed on the ACC's All-Freshman Team after scoring a team-high four goals in 12 matches.
Kerr represented Canada at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, starting each of the team’s three games in Brazil.
