A handful of New England Revolution players – including US international Jermaine Jones – showed their charitable side Wednesday with a visit to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, R.I.
To honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and MLS' corresponding efforts with Soccer Kicks Cancer, Jones joined Kelyn Rowe, Brad Knighton and Jeremy Hall to pass out blankets with local nonprofit Binkeez for Comfort.
“It’s really exciting for me when you see what kind of stories they have, what they have to go through in this whole process, how happy they are and how they don’t lose their smile,” Jones told the Providence Journal. “It’s just amazing.”
