Major League Soccer COVID-19 Testing Update – September 18, 2020
NEW YORK (September 18, 2020) – Major League Soccer today provided an update on the results of COVID-19 testing for players, coaches, and staff throughout the league from August 27 through September 16.
MLS will be providing regular updates with aggregated COVID-19 testing results throughout the season.

- The number of samples collected and tested was 16,912 from 4,379 individuals from Aug. 27 – Sept. 16
- Five of these individuals have been new confirmed positive cases
- There were four new confirmed positives among players and one new confirmed positive among staff members
