Fans screamed, chanting “Chi-charito, Chi-Chi-charito” as a bevy of cell phones clamored to get a glimpse of the historic moment.
Chicharito paused to sign a few autographs, took a selfie and acknowledged the throng with a few thumbs up.
The 31-year old will meet his new team on Thursday, taking part in his first training session in the morning before his introductory press conference later in the day.
