TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
Cristian Pavon will abide by whatever decision is made between the LA Galaxy and Boca Juniors regarding the wingerâs playing future, his agent said in a radio interview.
Fernando Hidalgo said the Galaxy and Boca Juniors spoke on Monday, but âthat did not end with any offer,â he told ClossAM590.
âWe will not interfere in the conversations,â he added. âBoth clubs will have to sit down and take a decision. We will follow suit after that decision.â
Pavon was a rare bright spot in what was a dismal season for the Galaxy. The Argentine international had 10 goals and seven assists while starting every one of the Galaxy's 22 matches.
Pavonâs loan from Boca expires at the end of the year. He reportedly has a $20 million purchase option in that deal, a figure that Galaxy aren't keen on spending.
âCristianâs intentions are very solid on staying here," Galaxy general manager Dennis te Kloese said in a video conference call with reporters Thursday. "It speaks for itself that the club are happy with his performance. When the deal was done⊠the transfer market and everything around international transfers has changed dramatically. Hopefully weâll find a good solution in the upcoming weeks.â
Hidalgo said he and Pavon will not have any input in the negotiations, but theyâll honor the decision made.
âThe negotiation will go directly club to club,â he said. âIf they agree on something, LA Galaxy, Cristian and Boca will be all happy. If there is no agreement, we will comply with the contract with Boca.â
