TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Transfer
Columbus Crew SC have completed the transfer of defender Chris Cadden to Hibernian FC of the Scottish Premiership, the club announced in a Friday release.
The 24-year-old made eight appearances and three starts for the Crew in their MLS Cup-winning campaign of 2020, notching one assist in 353 minutes.
“We would like to thank Chris for his time with Columbus Crew SC as he enters the next chapter of his career,” Crew general manager and president Tim Bezbatchenko said in Friday's release. “We are appreciative of Chris’ contributions and professionalism to the club during our 2020 MLS Cup championship run and wish him all the best moving forward.”
It will be a homecoming for Cadden, who is a Scotland international with two career senior caps. He started his career in Scotland with Motherwell, where he played his youth soccer before making 115 first-team appearances from 2013-2019. He's also had stints on loan with Albion Rovers and Oxford United.
